I have camera Hikvision and I would like to connect it to HIKCONNECT cloud services. Unfortunately, the camera is on my house installed and I don`t know the serial number. I found out some serial number from camera web interface but it is too long to paste it in HIKCONNECT setting. How do I find out the classic short format of the camera's serial number from this long serial number?

In the web interface you will find the serial number, which is really very long. The classic serial number of HIKVISION products is 9 characters long. It is therefore necessary to know in which position you will find the serial number.

1. Structure of serial number - CAMERA

You have camera and for example serial number in web interface: DS-2CD2T87G2-L20210619AAWRG12345678

Serial number of camera is: G12345678 - last 9 characters.

2. Structure of serial number - NVR (Recorder)

You have NVR - example web serial number is: DS-9664NI-I81620200916CCRR123456789WCVU

Serial number for hikconnect is: 123456789
